Why Invisalign?
The adjustment trays for Invisalign are made to the specifications of the patient’s mouth so they will fit securely and not rub or damage the soft tissues of the mouth. The trays need to be worn for 20 - 22 hours a day in order to be effective. Patients will only remove their clear aligner trays while eating, drinking, and brushing their teeth. Oral Hygiene with Invisalign

While you are undergoing the Invisalign treatment, you will brush and floss your teeth twice daily, as per your normal oral hygiene routine. When removing the clear aligner, simply rinse it off with cool water. Do not use hot water as this can cause the aligner to warp and not fit properly to align your teeth. You can gently brush your aligner with toothpaste if you prefer, between meals, or when you go to bed. Be sure to use a soft bristled toothbrush that is not too harsh on your gums or the Invisalign.
